DAIRY FREE AIR FRYER HAND PIES
INGREDIENTS
- ready-made pie dough
- bunny and egg shaped cookie cutters
- coarse sugar for dusting
- 1 egg to egg wash
For the Filling
- 3 tablespoons Country Crock® Plant Butter Sticks with Avocado Oil

- 3 cups peeled cored diced apples
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the airfryer to 350 degrees F.
- In a large saucepan, melt the Country Crock Plant Butter over medium heat.
- Add the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt to the melted plant butter. Stir to combine.
- Add the diced apples and lemon juice and stir until well coated. Cook the mixture over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until the apples are slightly softened.
- Remove the pan and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- While the mixture cools, roll out the pie dough and use the bunny-shaped cookie cutter to cut a bottom and top layer for the hand pies.
- Add filling to the bottom layer of dough, then brush the edges with egg wash. Add the top layer before using a fork to crimp the dough together on the edges.
- Brush more egg wash over the prepared pies and sprinkle with sugar. Place in the air fryer basket, ensuring the pies are not touching.
- Air fry for 8 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and enjoy!
